Topic: Visualize your interpretation.02
Goals: 1. Work on your final video
2. Prepare for the field trip 2
Each storyboard reflected the perspective of their own Kyoto rather than typical Kyoto.
They were not just rely on words, but also consider using creative touch
The opening performance, led by YMO — pioneers of technopop — seamlessly blended traditional and modern elements, including Hatsune Miku, enka, and hip-hop. The fact that it was set in Kyoto further highlighted the theme of tradition. Moreover, the sudden transition into a live performance midway through the video was truly innovative and impactful.
🌟 “Let’s deliver your own Kyoto to the viewer by using Key elements” 🌟
comment from week 11:
When I was on the train in Tokyo, I saw this ad by Suntory.
Rather than using a lot of words, the ad relies on a creative touch to get its message across.
Even though it simply says “心に京都を” (“Kyoto in your heart”), we can clearly feel what they want to express through elements like the background, the woman’s gentle smile, her white shirt, and the soft sunlight.
I believe they intentionally placed this ad on trains to reach people who feel stressed from work—reminding them of the importance of creating space in their minds and taking a deep breath.
