• 趣味、出身、好きな音楽などをシェア🎵

• 「キング・クリムゾン」が好きな学生がいたので、雪絵先生が昔聞いていたレコードのジャケットを見せてくれました！

3. さとはESの自己紹介と質問タイム

• さとはESってどんな人？

• みんな私の趣味や好きなものに対してたくさん質問してくれて嬉しかった！ありがとう💓

4. クラスメートの自己紹介に対してコメント！

• みんなが先週書いてくれた自己紹介に対してお互いコメントし合ったよ💬

• コメントに対する返信もして、よりお互いのことを知ることができました！

5. みんなにとっての立命館大学って？

• もう一度Georgia on my mindを聞いてみて、自分にとっての立命館 Ritsumei on My Mindを考えてみよう！

• 例年は「桜」という回答が大多数だったけど、今年はみんな異なった意見をシェアしてくれて、個性が感じられました！🌸

• ほとんどの人が立命館大学＝場所として捉えていたよ🏫

• 立命館出身のメンバーが複数人いる歌手のくるりさんの「京都の大学生」という歌を聞いたよ🎧歌詞から色々な背景や想いを想像することができました！

6. 桜の写真の裏に隠れるストーリーを想像しよう

• 恋愛や友情、出会いと別れなど、一人一人写真から様々なストーリーを想像してくれました🌸

• みんなの想像力や観察力がどんどん深まっている様子が感じられた！👏

• 宇多田ヒカルさんの「桜流し」をみんなで聞いたよ。

• 先ほどのワークを活かし、ストーリーを想像しながら自分なりに歌詞を英訳してみよう！

Week 2 Summary

1. 5-minutes group free talk!

• • We had a free talk in groups for five minutes.

• • We talked about things like: How are you feeling this week? How are your spring semester classes going?

2. Self-introductions by classmates who were absent last time

• They shared their hobbies, hometowns, favorite music, and more🎵

• Yukie Sensei also showed us the jacket of a record by King Crimson that she used to listen to.

3.  Satoha ES self-introduction and Q&A time🕒

• Who is Satoha?

• Everyone asked many questions about my hobbies and favorite things, which made me very happy! Thank you 💓 

4. Commenting on classmates’ self-introductions! 

• We commented on the self-introductions that everyone wrote last week💬

• We also replied to the comments, which helped us get to know each other better.

5. What does Ritsumeikan University mean to you? 

• We listened to “Georgia on My Mind” once again and thought about what Ritsumeikan University means to us.

• In previous years, most students answered “cherry blossoms,” but this year everyone shared different opinions, and we could feel each person’s individuality🌸

• Most people thought of Ritsumeikan University as a “place” 🏫

• We also listened to the song “Kyoto no Daigakusei” by Quruli, a band that has several members who graduated from Ritsumeikan University 🎧
  From the lyrics, we were able to imagine various backgrounds and feelings.

6. Imagine the stories hidden behind the cherry blossom photos 

• • Each person imagined different stories from the photos, such as romance, friendship, encounters, and farewells 🌸

  • I felt that everyone’s imagination and observation skills are steadily deepening 👏

7. Practice 01 ++ 

• • We listened to Hikaru Utada’s “Sakura Nagashi” together.

  • Using what we practiced earlier, we imagined the story and tried to translate the lyrics into English in our own way.
